About the range
What goes into our green juice
Every bottle starts with whole vegetables — kale, spinach, cucumber, celery, parsley — pushed through a slow hydraulic press at our unit in Bishop's Stortford. No concentrate, no water, no powders. Just the plant, pressed cold so it keeps its colour and character.
Our greens are vegetable-led rather than fruit-led, which is what keeps them green rather than sweet. Balanced Greens is the gentle way in, softened with apple. At the other end, Pure Greens has no fruit in it at all — properly green, with nothing sweet to hide behind. The rest sit somewhere between.
Nothing has added sugar; what sweetness there is comes from the apple and the vegetables themselves. Everything is flash-frozen within hours of pressing and delivered frozen, so it reaches you exactly as it left the press.
The difference
Why we flash-freeze, never pasteurise
Almost every cold-pressed juice on a UK shelf has had something done to it to make it last — heat, or high pressure. We do neither. We press, we freeze within hours, and it reaches you frozen. Nothing added, nothing taken out, nothing done to it in between.

Pressed
Whole fruit and vegetables go through a slow hydraulic press in small batches at our unit in Bishop's Stortford. Nothing is added.

Flash-frozen
Within hours of pressing, every bottle goes into the blast freezer. No heat, no high pressure, no preservatives — freezing is the only thing we do to it.

Delivered frozen
Packed with ice packs in an insulated box and sent on a tracked UK courier, Monday to Saturday. It arrives frozen or chilled, ready for your freezer.

Defrost & drink
Move a bottle to the fridge overnight, or stand it in cold water for around twenty minutes. Once defrosted, drink it within three days.

It arrives frozen. Then it waits for you.

Mostly about taste — which is fair enough, because that's what puts people off.
What does green juice actually taste like?
It depends which one. Ours run from apple-sweet and smooth through to fruit-free and properly green. Balanced Greens tastes mostly of apple and cucumber; Pure Greens tastes of the leaves. The taste scale further up the page shows where each one sits.
Which green juice should I start with?
Balanced Greens. It's kale and cucumber softened with apple, so it's the easiest to drink if you've not had green juice before. Work along the scale from there once you've got the taste for it.
Is there added sugar in your green juice?
None. The only sweetness is from the apple and the vegetables themselves. Because our blends are vegetable-led rather than fruit-led, there's less of it than in most green juices — and Pure Greens has no fruit in it at all.
What's the difference between Balanced Greens and Pure Greens?
Fruit. Balanced Greens contains apple, which rounds it out and makes it easy to drink. Pure Greens is leafy greens with no fruit at all — the greenest thing we make, and the one people move on to.
What vegetables are in it?
Across the range: kale, spinach, cucumber, celery and flat-leaf parsley, with green apple, lemon or ginger depending on the blend. Every bottle lists its exact ingredients — there's nothing hidden in a "blend".
Is it from concentrate?
No. Every bottle is cold-pressed from whole vegetables and frozen as it is — nothing reconstituted, no water added.
Is it pasteurised?
No. We flash-freeze rather than heat-treat, so nothing is pasteurised or put through high pressure. Keep it frozen until you want it.
How long does it keep?
Frozen, until the date on the bottle. Once defrosted, keep it in the fridge and drink within three days.
Why does it separate in the bottle?
Because there's nothing in it to stop it. Separation is what unpasteurised juice with no additives does — give it a shake and it's fine.
