Questions
Turmeric shots, answered
Mostly about the black pepper, and which of the two to pick.
What's the difference between Turmeric Shots and Ginger Turmeric Shots?
Turmeric Shots is 40g of turmeric root on its own, with lemon and black pepper — the fullest, most direct turmeric flavour. Ginger Turmeric splits that root weight with ginger, 15g of each, so it's warming rather than purely earthy. Same base root, different balance.
Why is there black pepper in the turmeric shot?
Partly taste — turmeric and black pepper have been paired in cooking for centuries, and the pepper gives the shot its warmth and a bit of bite against the citrus. It's also one of the most-studied pairings in nutrition: piperine, the compound in black pepper, has been researched for how it affects the way the body processes curcumin, turmeric's main compound. That's a note about what the research has looked at, not a promise about this specific shot.
Why does the turmeric settle at the bottom?
Because there's nothing in it to hold it in suspension. Real pressed root separates — give it a shake and it's fine. It's a sign there's no stabiliser in there.
