Beetroot nitrate is one of the most studied areas in sports and nutrition research — hundreds of trials worldwide have looked at it since the early 2010s. We don't make claims about what our shots will do for you; we just make sure you're getting the real thing, whole root pressed cold, so if you're following that research yourself, you know exactly what's in the bottle.
The difference
Why We Flash-Freeze, Not HPP
Most beetroot shots on a UK shelf survive weeks unrefrigerated because they've been high-pressure processed or pasteurised to extend shelf life. We do neither. We press, cap and flash-freeze straight away, so nothing has to be done to the juice to make it last.

Every beetroot shot is cold-pressed on a slow hydraulic press in Bishop's Stortford and flash-frozen straight off the press.
Questions
Beetroot shots, answered
Mostly about the two options, and what's actually in them.
What's the difference between Pure Beets and Ginger Beets?
Pure Beets is 125ml of beetroot on its own — nothing else in the bottle. Ginger Beets is 60ml, the same beetroot pressed with fresh root ginger for a warmer, easier-to-drink shot.
Is there anything in a beetroot shot besides beetroot?
Pure Beets is beetroot and nothing else. Ginger Beets adds fresh root ginger. Neither has water, powder, concentrate or added sugar — just whole root, cold-pressed.
What are the benefits of a beetroot shot?
Beetroot is naturally rich in nitrates, which is why it's popular with people focused on training and endurance — it's one of the most studied areas in sports nutrition. We don't make claims about what our shots will do for you; what we can promise is that you're getting the real thing, whole root pressed cold, not a powder or a diluted version of it.
Is there added sugar?
None. What sweetness there is comes from the beetroot itself — nothing added, no juice concentrate bulking either shot out.
Are they pasteurised?
No. We flash-freeze rather than heat-treat, so nothing is pasteurised or high-pressure processed. Keep them frozen until you want one.
How long do they keep?
Frozen, until the date on the bottle. Once defrosted, keep it in the fridge and drink within three days.
Do beetroot shots stain?
They can — that's the same deep pigment that gives beetroot its colour. Wipe up spills and rinse cups fairly promptly.
