That colour is beta-carotene, which your body converts into vitamin A — and carrots are one of the richest sources of it there is. Nothing is added or fortified. It's simply what comes out of the press.

About the range
What goes into our carrot juice
Whole carrots, pushed through a slow hydraulic press at our unit in Bishop's Stortford. No concentrate, no water, no carrot powder — just the root, pressed cold, which is why it comes out that colour.
It's the sweetest thing we make, and we haven't done anything to make it that way. There's no added sugar in either bottle; the sweetness is carrot and a little apple, exactly as it comes. Sweet Carrot finishes with lime, Carrot Kick with ginger and lemon — same base, different ending.
That sweetness is the reason people find carrot the easy one to keep drinking, and the one they'll happily give a child. Everything is flash-frozen straight off the press and delivered frozen, so it reaches you exactly as it left the press.
The difference
Why we flash-freeze, never pasteurise
Almost every cold-pressed juice on a UK shelf has had something done to it to make it last — heat, or high pressure. We do neither. We press, we cap, we freeze straight away, and it reaches you frozen. Nothing added, nothing taken out, nothing done to it in between.

How it works
From press to freezer to your door
Freezing isn't a compromise. It's the reason nothing else has to be done to the juice.

Pressed
Whole fruit and vegetables go through a slow hydraulic press in small batches at our unit in Bishop's Stortford. Nothing is added.

Flash-frozen
Within hours of pressing, every bottle goes into the blast freezer. No heat, no high pressure, no preservatives — freezing is the only thing we do to it.

Delivered frozen
Packed with ice packs in an insulated box and sent on a tracked UK courier, Monday to Saturday. It arrives frozen or chilled, ready for your freezer.

Defrost & drink
Move a bottle to the fridge overnight, or stand it in cold water for around twenty minutes. Once defrosted, drink it within three days.
Delivery & storage
It arrives frozen. Then it waits for you.
Everything ships in an insulated box packed with ice, on a tracked courier. Once it's in your freezer, there's no clock running.

Carrot juice, answered
Mostly about the sugar, and whether the children will actually drink it.
How much sugar is in carrot juice?
Around 8g per 100ml, which is similar to orange juice. All of it comes from the carrots and the apple — there's no added sugar in either bottle. It's the sweetest thing we make, and we'd rather say so plainly than dress it up. Every bottle carries a full nutrition panel.
What does it taste like?
Sweet and earthy, much closer to a treat than a vegetable juice. Sweet Carrot is smooth with a lime finish; Carrot Kick has ginger in it, so it's brighter and warmer at the end. Neither tastes like the greens.
Will children drink it?
Generally, yes — it's the one in our range that goes down easiest. My eight-year-old twins drink Sweet Carrot, which is about the highest endorsement a vegetable juice is ever going to get. Start there rather than Carrot Kick, which has a ginger warmth that takes more getting used to.
What's the difference between Sweet Carrot and Carrot Kick?
Ginger. Sweet Carrot is carrot, apple and lime — smooth and mellow. Carrot Kick is carrot, apple, ginger and lemon, so it's got a warm edge to it. Same carrot base, different finish.
Is it from concentrate?
No. Cold-pressed from whole carrots on a hydraulic press, then frozen. Nothing reconstituted, no water added, no carrot powder.
Why is it so orange?
Beta-carotene — the pigment that makes carrots orange in the first place. Nothing is added to colour it. Shade varies slightly batch to batch depending on the carrots, which is what happens when there's only one ingredient doing the colouring.
Is it pasteurised?
No. We flash-freeze rather than heat-treat, so nothing is pasteurised or put through high pressure. Keep it frozen until you want it.
How long does it keep?
Three months in the freezer. Move a bottle to the fridge the night before, and once thawed drink it within three days.
Why does it separate in the bottle?
Because there's nothing in it to stop it. Pressed juice with no stabilisers settles — give it a shake and it's fine.
