This page sits alongside our Terms of Business and our Refund & Returns Policy.

A note on accuracy: we're committed to keeping this policy precise and up to date as our systems evolve. If you spot anything here that doesn't match how we actually handle your data, please tell us at contact@recoveryjuice.co.uk so we can correct it.

Section 5

Who we share your data with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our business, and only to the extent each one needs to do its job:

  • Stripe — to process payments securely
  • DPD — to deliver your order, using your name, address and contact details
  • Klaviyo — to send order-related and marketing emails, where you've consented to marketing
  • Google (GA4 and Google Ads) — for website analytics and advertising, where you've consented to analytics or marketing cookies
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising) — for advertising, where you've consented to marketing cookies
  • Trustpilot — to invite you to leave a review of your order; only the information needed to send that invitation is shared
  • WP Engine — our website hosting provider, which stores the data underlying our website and systems

We may also share data where required by law, for example with HMRC, or to comply with a legal obligation or court order.

Section 6

International data transfers

Some of the service providers listed in Section 5 may store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on legally recognised safeguards — such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or a provider's certification under the UK-US or EU-US Data Privacy Framework — to ensure your data receives an appropriate level of protection, equivalent to that required under UK data protection law.

If you'd like more detail on a specific transfer, contact us at contact@recoveryjuice.co.uk and we'll provide what information we hold.

Section 7

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to run our website, understand how it's used, and — where you've given consent — to measure and serve advertising.

We manage cookie consent using CookieYes. When you first visit our website, you'll see a cookie banner where you can choose which categories of cookies to accept. Strictly necessary cookies, needed to make the website function (for example, keeping items in your basket), are used regardless of your choice, as permitted under UK law. Analytics and marketing cookies, including Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta's advertising pixel, are only set once you give consent through the banner.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by reopening the cookie settings via the link in our website footer, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings directly.

Section 8

How long we keep your data

We keep order and account data for 7 years after your last order, in line with our legal obligations around tax and accounting records. If you create an account but never place an order, we'll keep that account data only for as long as it remains active or until you ask us to delete it.

If you've subscribed to marketing emails, we keep your contact details for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a short period afterward to record that you unsubscribed and prevent re-contacting you in error.

Section 9

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your data, where there's no legal reason for us to keep it
  • Restrict or object to certain ways we use your data
  • Move your data to another provider, in a portable format, where technically feasible
  • Withdraw consent at any time for anything we do on the basis of your consent, such as marketing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@recoveryjuice.co.uk. We'll respond within one month, as required by law. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we've handled your data incorrectly.

Section 10

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including secure hosting, encrypted payment processing through Stripe, and restricted access to customer data within our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep your data protected and to respond quickly if anything goes wrong.

Section 11

Children

Our website and products are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children, and orders should only be placed by someone aged 18 or over.

Section 12

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or in data protection law. Where a change is significant, we'll let you know by email or via a notice on our website. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
