How Many Juices a Day on a Cleanse
The short answer: five a day on our Signature and multi-day cleanses, six a day on the one-day plans. Here's why that's the number, why our 500ml bottles change the maths and how the juices spread across your day.
Five a Day, or Six on a One-Day
On the Signature Cleanse and the multi-day plans you drink five 500ml juices a day, plus a ginger shot. On the one-day cleanses you drink six 250ml juices. Either way it works out to a proper day's worth of juice spread from morning to early evening, not a token few bottles.
That's the headline. The number shifts a little by plan and the fasting-style plans use fewer because you're eating alongside them. Here's the full picture.
How Many, Plan by Plan
| Plan | Juices a day | A day's juice |
|---|---|---|
| Signature Cleanse | 5 x 500ml, plus a ginger shot | 2.5 litres |
| Green Juice Cleanse | 5 x 500ml, plus a ginger shot | 2.5 litres |
| 1-Day Cleanse | 6 x 250ml | 1.5 litres |
| 1-Day Green Cleanse | 6 x 250ml | 1.5 litres |
| 7-Day Alternating | Juice day: 5 x 500ml. Lighter day: 2 x 500ml plus your own light meals | Varies by day |
| Juice 'Til Dinner | 3 x 250ml, plus a shot and your evening meal | 0.75 litres of juice |
| 5:2 Juice Fasting | 5 x 250ml on each juice day, plus a shot | 1.25 litres on juice days |
Want the exact running order and timings for your plan? That's all set out in what's in a day of cleanse juice.
Why Five Is More Than It Sounds
Five juices a day can sound low next to cleanses that hand you six. The difference is the bottle. Our Signature juices are 500ml each, twice the 250ml many cleanses pour, so five of ours is 2.5 litres of juice across the day. Count by volume, not by bottle and it's a full day's worth.
It's the same reason the one-day cleanses use six 250ml juices rather than five: smaller bottles, so one more to reach a proper day. The plan is built around how much juice makes a day, then divided into whatever bottle size that plan uses.
Why That Number and Not Another
More juice isn't better. Push much past 2.5 litres and you're drinking more sugar and more liquid than you need and it gets hard to finish. Go much lower and you're running empty between juices, which is when people feel flat and give up. Five 500ml juices, or six 250ml ones, is the balance: enough to keep you going through the day without overdoing it.
The whole approach is a short, structured break from solid food rather than a diet, which is the thinking behind the 3-day cleanse. The number of juices follows from that: enough to replace your meals for the day, spaced so you're steady.
How the Juices Space Across the Day
The juices land roughly every two and a half hours on a five-juice day, from around 8am to 6pm. On a six-juice one-day cleanse the gaps tighten to about two hours to fit them all in. Take your ginger shot whenever you fancy, keep water going between juices and sip each one slowly rather than downing it. New to cleansing? It's worth reading what to expect first.

Frequently Asked
How many juices do I drink a day?
Five 500ml juices a day on the Signature and multi-day cleanses, plus a ginger shot. Six 250ml juices a day on the one-day cleanses. The fasting plans use fewer because you eat alongside them.
Why only five when other cleanses give six?
Bottle size. Our Signature juices are 500ml, twice the 250ml many cleanses pour, so five of ours is 2.5 litres of juice. Counted by volume it's a full day, not a light one.
Can I drink more if I'm hungry?
Water is the first thing to reach for between juices and it helps a lot with hunger. If you're still genuinely hungry, an extra juice or a ginger shot is fine. It's better to add a juice than to give up on the day.
Is that enough to keep me going?
For most people, yes. Five 500ml juices spread across the day keeps something coming through so you're not running empty for long. If a full juice-only day feels like a lot, the Juice 'Til Dinner plan keeps an evening meal.
How far apart should the juices be?
Roughly every two and a half hours on a five-juice day, from about 8am to 6pm. On a six-juice one-day cleanse the gaps come down to about two hours. The exact order and timings are in what's in a day of cleanse juice.
Do I have to finish all of them?
Aim to, since the number is set to make up a day, but don't force it. If you fall behind, carry on from where you are rather than doubling up. Missing the odd one now and then won't undo the day.
The Bottom Line
Five 500ml juices a day on the Signature and multi-day cleanses, six 250ml on the one-days, with the fasting plans using fewer because you eat alongside them. It's the volume that matters, not the bottle count and 2.5 litres spread across the day is enough to keep you steady without overdoing it. Water between juices, a shot whenever you like and finish what you can.
